About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized care and support to our residents during the day time, promoting their privacy, dignity, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the shift team, ensuring that all residents receive the highest level of care and support.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to create a happy and caring atmosphere, promoting a sense of community and belonging among residents.
- Assist residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, while maintaining their dignity and independence.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments to ensure that residents' needs are met and that their care plans are being implemented effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that residents receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience as a Care Assistant in residential care.
- Completed an L3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- A compassionate and caring nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff members, while working collaboratively as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to working hours, with a willingness to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
