About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health and Wellbeing Coach to join our team at Maximus. As a Health and Wellbeing Coach, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to take control of their health and wellbeing by providing personalised support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver face-to-face, telephonic, and digital health coaching support to individuals from a wide range of community and healthcare settings.
  • Facilitate people in establishing and attaining health-promoting goals, with a focus on lifestyle behaviour change.
  • Provide support and guidance on healthy eating and nutrition, smoking cessation, physical activity, weight management, alcohol consumption, and NHS Health Checks.
  • Work in partnership with individuals to identify and address barriers to health and wellbeing, and develop strategies to overcome these challenges.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to health and wellbeing support.
Requirements
  • Relevant health coaching qualification or an accredited health coaching skills programme.
  • A minimum of six months of direct health coaching delivery experience.
  • Experience in delivering behaviour change interventions for specific lifestyle-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of the social determinants of health and population-based approaches.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations.
