Senior Paraplanner Opportunity

A leading Financial Planning practice is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their team in Sunderland outskirts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, preferably within an Independent Financial Adviser environment.

Job Purpose:

To provide high-quality paraplanning support to a team of Financial Advisers, including training, coaching, and mentoring Paraplanners. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating financial plans and strategies, as well as preparing reports and suitability letters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the review and enhancement of technical research, report writing processes, and systems to increase efficiencies in the technical team.
  • Train, coach, and mentor Paraplanners, including induction, training, and ongoing support.
  • Carry out technical research and analysis to support Financial Advisers and meet client needs and objectives.
  • Prepare cashflow modelling reports to assist with client retirement planning.
  • Prepare suitability letters across a wide range of advice types, financial products, investment, and pension solutions.
Requirements:
  • Experience working within the financial services industry, preferably within an Independent Financial Adviser environment.
  • Solid technical product knowledge within pensions and investments, and strong analytical skills.
  • A track record of delivering written financial advice.
  • The ability to positively influence others.
  • Qualification to Level 4 Diploma status, with a desire to achieve Chartered status.
