The Clinical Nurse Specialist/Research Nurse will work across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, within the clinical specialty of ventilation services. This role will involve acting as a practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, leader, and care coordinator/case manager to achieve clinical excellence and improved health outcomes for patients referred to the service.
Key Responsibilities- Expert Nursing Knowledge: Provide advanced nursing knowledge in the management of patient care within the ventilation service, working with patients, families, or other healthcare professionals to deliver timely nursing care and optimize outcomes.
- Care Assessment and Planning: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate own and others' care to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Prescriptive Authority: Prescribe advanced evidence-based nursing therapeutics, pharmacological, and non-pharmacological interventions, diagnostic measures, equipment, procedures, and treatments to meet patient needs.
- Leadership and Guidance: Guide and support others in the ventilatory specialty in their assessment, clinical decision-making, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care.
- Professional Development: Provide leadership, role models, and guide others in nursing practice to promote excellence and innovation.
