Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Nurse to join our East Site Stoma / Colorectal Nursing team. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide nursing support to inpatient / outpatient areas and work collaboratively as a member of the Stoma / Colorectal team to ensure both elective / emergency patients receive holistic assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of their care needs.

Main Duties

The successful post holder will be required to deliver patient care complementary to that offered by Doctors and other healthcare professionals within the field of Stoma / Colorectal Care. This will involve working effectively with other stakeholders, demonstrating teaching skills, and contributing to the development of clinical excellence in clinical practice.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, a Diploma / Degree Level in Nursing, and post-registration nursing experience at Band 5 level or above. The successful candidate will also have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, demonstrate teaching skills, and have experience of multi-professional working / working effectively with other stakeholders.
