Job Description

Job Title: Production Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at a market-leading, global manufacturer. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and improving operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement best practice manufacturing strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational performance.
  • Maintain production systems and processes to deliver products on time, to specification, and cost.
  • Promote functional excellence of the systems team and drive continuous improvement activities.
  • Justify capital equipment investment and introduce modern processes.
  • Analyze downtime, identify trends, and develop implement solutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  • Take control of in-house apprentice programs working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Identify skill sets, resource levels, and systems to ensure projects are delivered.
  • Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Communicate KPIs, review, and implement.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma.
  • Experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes, and upgrades through to production.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of modern manufacturing techniques and processes that include automation and digitalization.
  • Microsoft Office suite.
  • SAP.
