Position Overview

As a Lead Care Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our care facility, ensuring that our residents receive exceptional, personalized assistance tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations within a designated unit, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
  • Administer medications, assess care plans, and maintain precise documentation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants, facilitating effective shift transitions and communication.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new staff, fostering a welcoming environment.
  • Cultivate relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals, including GPs and District Nurses.
  • Assist residents with various personal care tasks, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion or progress towards an NVQ Level 3 in care is essential. We are committed to supporting your professional development.
  • A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for teamwork are crucial.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, coupled with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others, is highly valued.
