About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our Specialist Care team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to the individual, empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, cooking, and domestic duties
  • Support the individual to engage in social activities, hobbies, and interests
  • Monitor and report changes in the individual's mood and behavior, using techniques to calm and de-escalate as needed
  • Communicate effectively with the individual, their family, and other stakeholders, adopting a person-centered approach

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including hoisting and PEJ feeding
  • Knowledge of person-centered care and the ability to implement it in practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service
