Fashion Product Specialist (Size & Fit) - Photostudio

Role Overview

As a Fashion Product Specialist (Size & Fit), you will engage directly with garments and accessories in a dynamic Photostudio environment. Your primary responsibility will be to create precise and informative product attributes that enhance Selfridges' standing as a premier fashion destination. As part of the Product Technical Specialist Team within the Content Division, your contributions will be vital in presenting our product range to online customers and ensuring the efficient operation of a bustling ecommerce studio.

You will independently manage your tasks to swiftly capture, upload, and format technical product details for both womenswear and menswear fashion items, as well as accessories, spanning from high-street to luxury brands. Your ability to prioritize and meet stringent deadlines while collaborating with various teams on product workflows and brand specifics will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate up to 90 technical product descriptions daily for womenswear, menswear, and accessories, including size and fit details, fabric composition, and care instructions.
  • Adhere to Selfridges' style guidelines, ensuring consistent and accurate formatting while proofreading your own content.
  • Collaborate closely with Copywriters on product workflows, providing updates and responding to change requests.
  • Work alongside the Styling & Photography team to ensure accurate size representation of garments, documenting precise information and communicating updates effectively.
  • Engage daily with Styling and Photography teams regarding product workflows and priorities.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on fashion products to uphold standards of consistency and accuracy.
  • Liaise with Digital Operations and Buying teams concerning product attributes and brand requirements.
  • Manage your schedule effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced studio setting.
  • Stay informed about seasonal fashion trends, demonstrating strong brand awareness and relevant experience.
  • Collaborate with the Content team to continuously enhance and refine product descriptions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in an ecommerce, studio, or fashion-related environment.
  • A background in fashion, textiles, garment construction, or copywriting.
  • Familiarity with content management systems.

  • Exceptional command of the English language and grammar.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently to high standards while managing a demanding workload.
  • Strong brand awareness and knowledge of fashion trends and garment terminology.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles.
