Metocean Engineer Opportunity

Job Summary

Matchtech is seeking a highly skilled Metocean Engineer to join our team in the offshore wind sector. As a Metocean Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our projects by providing expertise in meteorological and oceanographic data.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze metocean data for offshore wind farm design and operations, utilizing advanced software and modeling tools to interpret data.

Project Support:

  • Provide metocean input for offshore wind farm structures, collaborating with engineering and project teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on metocean conditions, maintaining accurate records of data and analysis.

Risk Assessment:

  • Identify and evaluate risks from metocean conditions, developing mitigation strategies for offshore operations to ensure project safety and efficiency.

Innovation and Development:

  • Stay up-to-date on metocean technology advancements, implementing innovative solutions to improve project outcomes and drive business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Oceanography, Meteorology, Marine Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in metocean data collection and analysis, preferably in the offshore wind sector.
  • Proficiency with metocean modeling tools and a strong understanding of data analysis techniques.
