Job Overview
The successful candidate will oversee the comprehensive management and execution of intricate projects across various sites and departments within the organization. These projects will adhere to established timelines and budgetary constraints.
Progress management and monitoring will be conducted through a relevant Project Plan, with oversight linked to key milestones and objectives, which may be set at both national and local levels. Project Sub-Groups will be formed, and the candidate will coordinate their activities, ensuring alignment with the Project Plans.
This role encompasses diverse responsibilities, particularly focusing on Cancer MDT Streamlining, cancer Pathway Analysis, and the execution of the Trust Targeted Lung Health Check initiative. The position will primarily be based at the hospital but will require travel to various sites and meeting venues within the region.
Key Responsibilities
o Collaborate with essential stakeholders to formulate and finalize a detailed program plan that includes the implementation of Optimal pathways, Timed pathways, MDT Streamlining (inclusive of Standards of Care), and the Targeted Lung Health Check Programme, ensuring measurable outcomes that enhance cancer services.
o Identify and engage relevant internal and external Project stakeholders, establishing effective communication channels to convey the Project's objectives, fostering a liaison network as necessary, and addressing any resistance encountered.
o Gather, create, analyze, and evaluate data from diverse sources to produce information that aids in decision-making. Compare data to present various options and perspectives where applicable.
o Ensure the establishment of a robust communication framework for disseminating pertinent information, both internally and externally.
o Regularly communicate the progress of the Projects in relation to the Project Plan, adhering to the required reporting frequency. Communication may involve a variety of organizations and individuals, including health departments, executive boards, and internal project teams, facilitated through performance monitoring reports, ad-hoc written and verbal updates, and appropriate presentations.

Qualifications and Training
Essential
Degree-level education or equivalent. Knowledge of project management methodologies, either through a postgraduate qualification (e.g., PRINCE II) or through practical experience managing complex projects.Desirable

Experience in service development and project management within a specialized area. Familiarity with the NHS Core20PLUS5 approach to addressing health inequalities. Proven experience in effectively managing and delivering change on complex projects. Proficient in managing intricate projects. Experience utilizing Quality Improvement tools and techniques to ensure project delivery and sustainability. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel for data creation, manipulation, and analysis.
