With a strong reputation for successfully finishing challenging projects, Cityscape's delivery and trust have been built on a foundation of stability and expertise. This specialist subcontractor, who also operates as a principle contractor on the majority of their projects, rarely recruits, making this opportunity a rare chance to join their team.
About the OpportunityDue to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of work, Cityscape is currently recruiting permanently for an experienced Estimator. This role will report directly to the Pre-Construction Director and will be responsible for putting together tenders, project costings, and valuations for demolition and general enabling works packages in Central London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tender submissions, producing bills of quantities and schedules for estimating programs, attending project visits, carrying out measuring and take-offs from drawings, and attending pre- and post-contract meetings with clients. They will also be responsible for building up tender prices from first principles based on plans, program, and scope of works.
About the RequirementsTo be considered for this opportunity, the ideal candidate will have proven success in pricing demolition/enabling works packages (groundworks, RC Frame, and basement construction) valued in excess of £5M in the UK, gained while working for a specialist subcontractor or main contractor.
The candidate must hold a construction industry degree or professional qualification (MRICS or MCIOB), have a good understanding of NEC and JCT standard forms of contract, and possess excellent IT skills. Additionally, they must demonstrate stability of employment, having held each previous appointment for a minimum of 2 years.
About the Benefits and RewardsFor this permanent opportunity, Cityscape is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £65,000 to £85,000 per annum, with specific salary dependent on experience and suitability. A generous package will be offered, including a car allowance, all travel expenses covered, private healthcare, and enrollment on the pension scheme.
