About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Career Guidance Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing expert guidance and support to young people in Brent, helping them to achieve their career goals and overcome barriers to education and employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert career guidance and support to young people, helping them to identify and pursue their career aspirations.
  • Work closely with vulnerable groups, including those at risk of NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), to provide tailored support and guidance.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with young people, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting young people.
Requirements
  • A level 6 IAG (Information, Advice, and Guidance) qualification or willingness to train towards this.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable groups, including those with multiple barriers to education and employment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with young people, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of the educational system and career development pathways.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet contract KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
