Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant at Academics Ltd. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with a range of additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to identify and address the cognitive, behavioural, and emotional needs of students.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized learning plans and strategies to support students with additional needs.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and overcome barriers to learning.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including psychologists, therapists, and speech and language therapists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with children with additional needs, either in a school or community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
