Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Merchandising Manager to join our team at Massimo Dutti Guildford. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience through the visual presentation of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial and Merchandising
    • Ensure that the floor layout is merchandised in accordance with company guidelines.
    • Promote new lines effectively.
    • Identify creative and visual ideas and take action to implement them.
    • Manage in-store furniture, tables, walls, layouts, internal mannequins, and fixtures to maintain high standards of the brand image.
    • Build action plans for commercial and visual activity of the store on a daily, weekly, and seasonal basis.
    • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reports and money mapping to make decisions on product layout.
    • Monitor the layout and availability of products, including shoes, accessories, and perfumes.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest fashion trends and provide feedback on competitors' activity.
  • Store Operations
    • Work alongside the operational manager to ensure best practice of digital devices is in place at all times.
    • Control product levels in the store and communicate with senior management on product needs.
    • Monitor all procedures related to product, including warehouse, orders, and reports.
    • Understand and reinforce the company return policy.
    • Promote HR policies and procedures and the Code of Conduct in the store.
  • Training and Development
    • Be responsible for the training and development of the commercial team.
    • Work alongside senior management to support new starters' training.
    • Identify members of the commercial team with development potential and build a continuous internal succession plan.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is offered in the store.
    • Support customer service with product knowledge and awareness of new arrivals, best sellers, and fashion trends.
    • Offer alternatives with the services provided and the technology used in the store.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout all areas in the store.
    • Communicate with senior management in case of an accident.
    • Aware of the risks of employees and customers are exposed to and safe work practices and company procedures to overcome them.
    • Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
    • Be an ambassador in the company's sustainability project.
Requirements
  • Previous fashion retail experience.
  • Prior visual experience within a fast-paced environment.
  • Good team management skills.
