About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership to our CAMHS Tier 3 service in Wandsworth at Springfield Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing medical leadership to the CAMHS Tier 3 service in Wandsworth at Springfield Hospital
  • Providing medical consultant psychiatric advice to patients
  • Working in the Wandsworth CAMHS Team to provide multidisciplinary assessment, care coordination, and treatment for young people with moderate mental health problems
  • Carrying overall responsibility for the day-to-day clinical care, risk assessment, risk management, initiation of medication, and recovery-focused care delivered by the team
  • Chairing the CAMHS higher trainees Seminar and providing training on Neurodevelopmental Disorders to the team and colleagues working across CAMHS
Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with the following qualifications and experience:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • CCT or equivalent in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • MRCPsych Paper A and B
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
