Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Support Assistant to aid a young woman in achieving an independent lifestyle. The responsibilities will encompass various domestic duties, meal preparation, personal assistance as needed, community engagement, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Housekeeping tasks
  • Preparing healthy, nutritious meals using fresh ingredients
  • Providing assistance with dressing when required
  • Shopping and gathering items from the local area
  • Reminding her to take prescribed medication
  • Assisting with the completion and organization of paperwork

Location: Norwich, NR5

Candidate Profile:
The ideal applicant will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Enhanced DBS certificate
  • Full UK driving license
  • Access to a personal vehicle
  • First Aid certification
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Strong communication skills
  • Female candidate preferred due to personal care requirements
  • Experience or knowledge in supporting children with additional needs (ASD, ODD, ADHD) when the son is not in school
  • Understanding of mental health issues (anxiety and depression)
  • Familiarity with M.E/CFS and Fibromyalgia is advantageous
  • No ownership of cats, dogs, or horses due to allergies; other pets are acceptable
  • Preferably a non-smoker
  • Attention to detail in domestic tasks
  • Knowledge and experience in healthy eating and nutrition, with the ability to cook using fresh ingredients
  • Friendly, passionate, and kind demeanor

Terms and Conditions:
  • Hourly rate: £13.50
  • Flexible working hours: 3 hours per week between 9am-3pm
  • Annual holiday entitlement equivalent to 5.6 consecutive weeks of work
  • Free training in care skills provided to employed staff

Training Requirements:
Annual training will be required for:
  • DBS Check
  • Manual Handling
  • Handling of hazardous materials
  • Food Safety

Employment Conditions:
Successful candidates will undergo a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, with costs covered by the employer, and must provide satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be from their current or most recent employer.
