Role Overview:
The primary objective is to deliver exceptional vocational education and training that aligns with the specialized knowledge, skills, and behaviors demanded by the industry and recognized by external certification bodies.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement engaging and interactive lessons, both practical and theoretical, that reflect the specialized knowledge and skills required in the industry.
- Create high-quality, inclusive educational resources for teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Assess learners' initial and diagnostic needs, tailoring support to meet individual learning requirements.
- Provide consistent written and verbal feedback to learners to facilitate their improvement.
- Monitor and track learners' progress through the Learning Management System.
- Enhance learners' personal, English, mathematics, and digital skills to prepare them for success in society and the workforce.
- Collaborate with Apprenticeship Development Coaches and participate in periodic reviews to keep learners and employers informed of progress.
- Ensure Vocational Assessors are updated on learners' advancements.
- Engage in the learner support process to assist those at risk of falling behind.
- Offer guidance to apprentices in developing their workplace skills and knowledge.
- Provide career progression advice and guidance to learners.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all learning activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals and stakeholders to keep industry knowledge current.
- Attend relevant workshops and training to stay updated on teaching methodologies.
- Exhibit positive behaviors and attitudes towards colleagues and learners.
Essential:
- Recent, verifiable experience operating various Plant Equipment (minimum of four types).
- At least a Level 3 (or equivalent) vocational qualification in Plant Operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current industry practices.
- Minimum Level 3 teaching qualification (or commitment to obtain within one year).
- Experience in the demolition sector.
- Certification as a CPCS Tester/Trainer.
- Possession of CPCS/NPORS cards.
- SMSTS certification.
- First Aid certification.
- A1 Assessor units.
