Commercial Director

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join their team.
This is a key role within a major modular construction company, based in East Yorkshire with hybrid working arrangements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a commercial team that delivers on post-delivery commercial contracts for rental modular buildings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a team of commercial staff to ensure effective delivery of commercial contracts
- Developing and training the team to enhance career progression and achieve successful financial outcomes
- Ensuring payment plans are in place and adhered to, maintaining cash flow and maximizing margins
- Negotiating financial accounts and resolving disputes in a timely and professional manner
- Regularly reviewing and managing risks and mitigations to ensure business continuity
- Ensuring costs and margins are closely monitored on each project
- Attending client meetings to ensure the appropriate resources and payment plans are in place
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Commercial management experience with a Quantity Surveying background
- Degree qualification in a commercial or equivalent subject
- Strong people management skills and experience
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- A good understanding of the construction industry and contracts
