Job Title: Community Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at PETALS, a specialist perinatal trauma and loss service. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care and support to women and birthing people experiencing perinatal mental health issues.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical input and support to clients via telephone, including assessment, brief interventions, and signposting to appropriate services.
  • Contribute to the effective provision of psychological therapy and work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver direct care to an identified caseload.
  • Manage risk and caseload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
Requirements:
  • Professional registration as a Mental Health Practitioner.
  • Experience working in a community setting, preferably with perinatal mental health clients.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and liaise with other professionals.
  • Knowledge of policy and legislation related to perinatal mental health and relevant mental health legislation.
