About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at Vision for Education - Northampton. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that students continue to learn and engage with the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher
  • Facilitate the learning process, manage classroom behaviour, and record accurate registers
  • Provide a handover to the absent teacher, ensuring a smooth transition
  • Work across a range of secondary school subjects, with lesson plans provided in advance
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent education
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
  • A natural leadership ability and confidence to lead a lesson
  • A passion for education and supporting young people
