Your Role: Automation Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Automation Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of automated systems within our production environment. This challenging role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our engineering department and the overall business.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in PLC programming and control systems.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions for automation asset categories, addressing obsolescence, optimizing spare parts management, enhancing competence development, and fostering strong supplier relationships.
  • Provide technical support for preventative maintenance planning and scheduling, assisting craft personnel with fault finding using PLC and control system expertise.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our automation systems through ongoing analysis, troubleshooting, and implementation of enhancements.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong technical background in automation engineering. A relevant degree or equivalent experience is essential, along with proven expertise in PLC programming and industrial control systems. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
