Job Description:
We are seeking a Quality Series Built Engineer to join our client on a long-term temporary assignment for approximately 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving quality issues within the supplied parts landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Issue Management: The Quality Series Built Engineer will be accountable for the management and resolution of quality issues within the supplied parts landscape, following defined processes to raise Initial Complaint Reports and Supplier 8D landscape requests.
- Verification of Quality Instructions: The candidate will verify that quality instructions, level 0 activities, and work instructions issued for quality issues within their perimeter are correct.
- Problem Resolution: The Quality Series Built Engineer will ensure that problem landscapes are clearly communicated to the appropriate suppliers and engage with QMT's (Quality Management Parts) and supplier representatives at all levels to steer the problem resolution process and challenge proposed solutions.
- Third-Party Sorting Actions: The candidate will guarantee that third-party sorting actions onsite are dealt with efficiently and effectively, and containment activity is transferred to suppliers as quickly as possible, escalating problems and suppliers where necessary.
- Cross-Functional Support: The Quality Series Built Engineer will provide cross-functional support to process partners with respect to problem analysis and module meetings, ensuring clear communication of quality topics within the organization.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Possession of an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent education is required. Proven capability to apply quality problem-solving tools efficiently is essential.
- Technical Skills: The ability to interpret engineering drawings and use basic measuring equipment is required. Electronic expertise (E&E) is essential for the role, with a deep understanding of components within vehicles, such as head units, display units, ECUs, and software networks.
