About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior National Account Manager to join our Head Office team on a 12-month Maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our department store channels across the UK & IE to meet sales targets and other objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key retail partners to influence brand positioning, distribution, and brand awareness.
  • Maximise the potential of existing partners and onboard new partners to drive incremental wholesale revenue.
  • Negotiate and unlock opportunities to drive sales growth, exploring secondary space opportunities and optimising sell-in.
  • Take ownership of the forecasting process per account, factoring in NPD and marketing initiatives.
  • Direct, coach, and support the team in effective key account management and push sales targets.
  • Liaise with local and central Marketing Teams to create 360 marketing plans per account and ensure they are executed to the highest standards.
  • Liaise with the Central Head Office team in the Netherlands to ensure the UK & IE wholesale agenda is met and Selective Distribution Strategy is fully implemented by partners.
  • Lead the training plan for front-line teams with local training teams and Account Managers.
  • Attend retailer conferences/roadshows and represent Rituals.
Impact in the Business
  • Drive gross and retail sales growth in a profitable and sustainable manner.
  • Develop and influence retailer partner relationships to maximise sales opportunities, build brand awareness, and visibility.
  • Work in a full 360 manner with retailer teams to include buying, supply, marketing, training, and.com functions.
  • Propose new locations or upgrade the selling environment in each partner location when appropriate.
  • Maximise stock availability for partners through planning for success and liaising continuously with our partners and customer fulfillment team in CHO.
  • Ensure Account Managers are focused on delivering the account strategy for each location and building effective relationships at a local level with partner teams.
Main Result Areas
  • Ensure business objectives, sales targets, and profitability are achieved.
  • Manage the marketing budget.
  • Support the co-ordinator and Account Managers to help them achieve their targets.
  • Challenge accounts to maximise our brand locations and position in stores.
Requirements
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in the beauty/wellbeing sector, ideally with a large FMCG business.
  • Extensive experience of working with large, multiple retailers.
  • Demonstrable sales success ideally with a beauty brand in the UK/Ireland.
  • Experienced in creating 360 plans with key UK-based multiple retailers.
  • Strong analytical mindset with extensive knowledge of using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong experience of using and understanding retailer sales reporting systems, managing the supply chain, and creating 360 account plans.
  • Leading, managing, and developing individuals.
  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation would be advantageous.
