Join the Team at Bournemouth University
We are on the lookout for a Lead Regulatory Counsel and Deputy Clerk to the Board to enhance our Legal Services and Corporate Governance division. In this pivotal role, you will deliver specialized legal guidance on regulatory issues and assist the University's Board in maintaining compliance.
Position Overview:
- Oversee the delivery of regulatory legal counsel
- Act as Deputy Clerk to the Board
- Report directly to the Head of Legal Services and Corporate Governance
- Supervise Senior Governance Managers
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer expert legal advice on regulatory adherence
- Draft and evaluate legal and governance documents
- Collaborate with the University Executive Team and Board members
- Lead initiatives in Corporate Governance
- Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with Office for Students, Consumer Protection Law, Charity Law, and Data Protection Law
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
- Capability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
