Job Title: Drivers Mate

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Drivers Mate to join our team at Major Recruitment Oldbury. As a Drivers Mate, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and install products to customers' properties, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with customers, providing clear communication and ensuring their delivery and installation needs are met.
  • Maintain regular contact with the site to manage changes to customer delivery requests and escalate any unplanned issues.
  • Use handheld operating devices correctly to complete visits and obtain customer signatures.
  • Liaise with manufacturers at the point of delivery when necessary.
  • Handle products safely and with care, supporting colleagues to do the same.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the role and ensure continuous professional development.
  • Manage changing volumes of load held in the vehicle during the day, reviewing, adjusting, and securing the load to ensure safety.
  • Work compliantly, following site-specific requirements, company, and health and safety policies to keep customers and colleagues safe.
  • Deliver and collect tote boxes and products from retail stores.
Requirements:
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, both on the phone and face-to-face.
  • Ability to work flexibly, alone or collaboratively with colleagues, to ensure business and customer needs are satisfied.
  • Initiative to problem-solve in a timely and calm manner.
