Job Description

As a Principal UX Designer at Blizzard Entertainment, you will be responsible for leading the design vision for our games, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving user-centered design principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our players and their needs, and use this knowledge to inform design decisions that drive business outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure that design solutions are feasible, effective, and meet business goals.
  • UX Vision: Develop and communicate a clear UX vision for our games, and work with the team to ensure that design decisions align with this vision.
  • Player-Centric Design: Apply player-centric design principles to ensure that our games are engaging, accessible, and meet the needs of our players.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct qualitative research to validate design decisions and inform design improvements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work with the team to implement changes that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentorship: Mentor less experienced designers to help them grow in their careers and develop their skills.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong background in game design and user research.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and experience with design tools such as Figma.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
