Job Title: Manual Machinist

As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating lathes and milling machines, as well as performing welding and fabrication tasks using MIG and TIG welding plants. You will work closely with the Fabrication Supervisor to ensure high-quality work and adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality parts
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks using MIG and TIG welding plants
  • Work closely with the Fabrication Supervisor to ensure high-quality work and adherence to health and safety standards
  • Carry out day-to-day fabrication of parts, including small brackets, oil catch tanks, propshaft flanges, and parts for large test rigs

Requirements:

  • Solid skill base in use of Lathe and Milling Machines
  • Welding using various techniques (Aluminum and Steel)
  • Formal fabrication or welding qualifications advantageous
  • Good general IT skills (including MS Word and Excel)
  • Flexible, self-driven, and reliable
  • Knowledge of CNC-based machinery would be an advantage
  • Automotive experience
