Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Impregnation & Stacking Assembler to join our team at AMETEK. As an essential member of our production team, you will be responsible for building mechanical and electrical assemblies to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs. Your expertise in impregnation and resin insulation of electrical components will be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build mechanical and electrical assemblies to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.
  • Undertake impregnation and resin insulation of electrical components.
  • Upgrade and repair mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Test assembled products.
  • Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, such as torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, and verniers.
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical tests as defined in the process control documents.
  • Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures.
  • Complete all relevant documentation.
  • Provide information and assistance to customers, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties, including training colleagues and secondments to other departments.
Requirements:
  • Able to read and understand drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.
  • Able to work from SOPs in tandem with drawings.
  • Able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of tools, such as circlip pliers, pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers, scrapers, and Swiss files.
  • Soldering skills on small components.
  • Previous experience in a production environment, assembly of electro-mechanical products.
  • Ability to work in a team, methodically, and logically.
  • Good time management and communication skills.
  • Team player, self-motivated, professional, and able to handle pressure well.
Standard Company Responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility for understanding the Business Management System and its application to the role.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements at all times.
  • Report any issues that could potentially affect the business.
  • Carry out duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
