About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Donor Carer Venepuncturist to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our Donor Services Blood Collection Team, you will provide high-quality care to our donors, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the donation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care to donors, ensuring their needs are met and their experience is positive.
  • Conduct venepunctures and other blood collection procedures with precision and care.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe and efficient donation environment.
  • Communicate effectively with donors, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of healthcare or customer-focused environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work variable hours, including Sundays and late evenings.
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the region as required.
