Job Description

Department for Work and Pensions is seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Management and Partnership Directorate, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization, providing financial analysis and advice to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to HM Treasury, including monthly management information packs and business cases for new initiatives.
  • Provide financial assurance to commercial and procurement exercises, analyzing affordability and value for money.
  • Collaborate with other directorates to ensure effective financial management and planning, including financial control and policy, systems development and design, and strategic finance.
  • Support the development of business cases for new initiatives, including financial modeling and analysis.
Requirements
  • Hold a full chartered level professional qualification awarded by a UK-recognised accountancy body, such as CIMA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, or ICAS.
  • Have a track record of improving and enhancing finance processes, with evidence of ability to deal with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Have experience of making improvements to financial processes, with a strong understanding of financial management and planning.
