Job Summary:
We are looking for a Management Accountant to provide support to our Financial Controller and manage a small finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of monthly accounts, weekly and monthly financial reporting, and ensuring strong financial controls are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Financial Controller in managing the finance team and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including VAT returns and annual audits.
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register and maintain accurate records of company assets.
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller to develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar finance role, preferably in a leisure or hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel and other financial software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
