About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at the Department for Work and Pensions. As a key member of our Financial Management and Partnering Directorate, you will play a critical role in protecting public funds and adding value through finance assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a strategic understanding of our financial position and provide advice and guidance to budget holders across the organisation.
  • Prepare reports for presentation to HM Treasury and develop business cases for new initiatives.
  • Produce monthly management information packs to showcase forecast movements and their impact on in-year and future-year plans.
  • Provide financial assurance to commercial and procurement exercises, analysing affordability and value for money.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in finance and a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial analysis and advice. You will also need to have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to develop great working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
