About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our team at Ngái Tahu Holdings - Te Hou Group in Christchurch.

As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing high-level financial insights and business support for Ngái Tahu Property's commercial investment portfolio. You will work closely with Asset Managers and other key stakeholders to prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and portfolio analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Asset Managers to deliver investment portfolio forecasting, reporting, and analysis
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and offer valuable insights on financial performance
  • Maintain and enhance the investment portfolio dashboard and financial models
  • Contribute to the 5-year Statement of Corporate Intent and annual budgeting processes
  • Support lease structuring decisions to provide commercial guidance and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards
  • Drive process improvements to optimize financial systems and increase efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including IFRS 16, and participate in year-end audits

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in management accounting or a similar role, with exposure to property investment portfolios
  • Strong financial modelling and analysis skills, with high proficiency in MS Excel
  • A CA qualification (CAANZ or equivalent) or a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with senior leaders
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and process efficiency
  • A passion for contributing to Ngái Tahu's goals, with respect for our cultural values and an eagerness to grow your knowledge of Ngái Tahutanga and te reo Máori
