About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Ornithological Expert to join our Marine Renewables & Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for marine projects, including offshore wind farms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage specialist technical input to EIAs from external subcontractors, including Collision Risk Modelling (CRM) and Population Viability Analysis (PVA).
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for mitigating the impacts of marine projects on bird populations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of EIA projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in marine ornithology and EIA best practices.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant technical subject, such as marine biology, ecology, or environmental science.
  • Proven experience in delivering EIAs for marine projects, including offshore wind farms.
  • Strong understanding of UK marine policy, legislation, and consenting issues.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
