Senior Marine Geoscientist

Venterra Group is a global leader in wind energy services, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Geoscientist to join our team. As a key member of our Geoscience team, you'll play a critical role in accelerating the global energy transition by providing expert geoscience services to our clients.
About the RoleWe're looking for a seasoned geoscientist with a strong background in offshore geophysical campaigns, project management, and UXO risk management. As a Senior Marine Geoscientist, you'll be responsible for acting as a primary point of contact for clients, providing ongoing operational support, and ensuring the production of high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing ongoing operational support.
- Produce and present geological and technical reports, including project-specific certifications and specifications.
- Offer technical advice and guidance to the geophysical team, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables.
- Monitor survey data acquisition and manage quality assurance.
- Attend client meetings online and in person within the UK and occasionally internationally, maintaining and nurturing relationships through frequent communication.
- At least five to seven years of relevant work experience with large offshore geophysical survey campaigns.
- Familiarity with the UXO risk management industry, including survey and clearance techniques, is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of the offshore energy industry and its needs.
- Proven experience in managing and ensuring data quality.
- Experience in project management or leadership roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including clients, team members, and regulatory authorities.
- Strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices (familiarity with HSE regulations and ISO 45001 would be advantageous).
