We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at the Woodview Unit in Whalley and Pendleview Unit at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supporting staff development, and contributing to a positive work environment.
Main Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement care plans in accordance with national and local nursing and health and safety policy.
- Support staff members in the assessment, planning, and provision of care.
- Exercise professional accountability and responsibility, demonstrating use of professional skills, knowledge, and expertise in the provision of high-quality care.
- Utilize research, audit, and enquiry to lead improvements in care.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification.
- Specialist qualification or equivalent level in skills and development.
- Knowledge and practice of the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Knowledge of common mental health problems and medication used in relation to these.
- Understanding and knowledge of physical and mental health promotion.
- Experience of assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs.
- Experience of interacting therapeutically with distressed and/or disturbed individuals.
