We are seeking an experienced and skilled Catering Services Manager to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a key member of our Facilities team, you will be responsible for managing our catering services, ensuring that we provide high-quality food and excellent customer service to our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our catering services, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
- Lead a team of catering staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent service.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve food quality, safety, and presentation, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of food hygiene and environmental health.
- Manage budgets and resources, ensuring that we operate efficiently and effectively, and that we meet our financial targets.
- Collaborate with other departments, including dietetics, nursing, and facilities, to ensure that our catering services meet the needs of our patients and staff.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and implement new ideas and initiatives to improve our catering services.
- Proven experience in catering management, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, and the ability to ensure that our catering services meet the highest standards.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources, and to make sound financial decisions.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to respond to changing priorities.
