Role Overview:
Are you equipped with extensive expertise and training in regulatory compliance and have experience in a multidisciplinary facilities management or construction setting?

We seek a reputable professional with outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal, to contribute significantly to the Council's mission of providing affordable quality housing and achieving carbon reduction objectives within the community.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the council's adherence to compliance standards across critical areas (Asbestos, Water Safety, Fire Regulations, Electrical Systems, Elevators, and Gas).

You will oversee our compliance team, coordinating their efforts to guarantee high-quality service delivery.
Additionally, you will spearhead the development of specifications and tender documents for the procurement of service and maintenance contracts, including:

  • Managing the upkeep and maintenance of various systems, including access control, key fob management, CCTV, and security alarms, while implementing planned and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Compiling reports for the Compliance Improvement Board and various committee meetings and working groups as required.
  • Coordinating and conducting inspections to ensure that all fire safety measures and facilities are functional and adequate.

Candidate Profile:
To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • HNC/HND in Building Studies or substantial relevant experience.
  • A solid understanding of contracts and local authority procurement regulations.
