Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Rullion Limited. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering technical protection and control solutions for UK transmission substations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement relay configurations and associated documentation to ensure safe and efficient operation of transmission substations.
  • Develop and produce engineering and test specifications for new and existing solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and contribute to the development of engineering processes and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying knowledge to improve existing solutions and develop new ones.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a contractor or transmission network operator environment.
  • Strong understanding of control systems, protection and control solutions, and transmission substations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical information and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
