Role Description


This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer at Mage Control Systems Ltd. located in East Kilbride. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design of electronics hardware, firmware and software solutions for a range of industries. This includes designing, testing, and debugging digital and analogue circuits for a variety of applications. You will also collaborate as part of a cross-functional team to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget. You will also lead projects, interacting with stakeholders and project partners, and be involved in mentoring junior engineers and helping to improve the company design process.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or related field


Essential

  • Significant experience in an Electronics Design role or similar
  • Experience with electronics hardware design including schematic capture, PCB layout, verification and testing
  • Experience with microcontroller programming, firmware development and debugging
  • Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design and simulation tools
  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies and logic analysers
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with technical project management


Desirable

  • Experience working with or designing high power motor drive circuits
  • Experience with model-based firmware design in Simulink
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages for embedded systems such as C/C++
  • Experience with industrial, aerospace, or medical safety standards
