Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team at Informa PLC. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, reconcile, and analyze financial data for management accounts, including revenue and expense analysis.
  • Perform WIP analysis, product costing, and provisions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist in the production of financial analysis and reports, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Calculate royalty, profit share, and commission payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze and solve ad-hoc problems using financial knowledge and systems expertise.
  • Support ad-hoc duties, including workload coverage in other teams, as needed.
  • Calculate bonus and commission provisions, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Process intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Check sub-ledgers from internal departments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaise with Finance Operations and Cash Operations for reconciliation queries, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Capitalize assets, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Publish financial results in the relevant finance system, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Perform tax and compliance duties, as required by the Shared Service Center.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background, with an Accounting degree preferred.
  • Currently studying AAT or keen to start the ACCA, with exemptions from studies.
  • Good understanding of Shared Service Center processes and their integration with the wider environment.
  • Able to work independently, meeting deadlines and priorities.
  • Proficient skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with a strong focus on financial analysis and reporting.
