About Us: Red Snapper Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated and culturally aware Independent Sexual Violence Support Advocate to join our team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive support to individuals affected by various forms of sexual abuse and violence.


Role Overview: As an Independent Sexual Violence Support Advocate, you will play a crucial role in delivering a range of services, including advocacy, therapeutic support, educational initiatives, and preventive measures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of survivors, particularly from Minority Ethnic communities, ensuring they receive the necessary support.
  • Identify and tackle the obstacles that hinder access to our services for Minority Ethnic communities, devising innovative strategies to overcome these challenges.
  • Enhance referral pathways to facilitate easy access to our services for all communities.
  • Promote diversity and ensure our services cater to the varied needs of all individuals, encouraging self-referrals.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in social care, healthcare, community work, or education.
  • Experience in safeguarding and working with survivors of sexual violence, particularly from Minority Ethnic backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of engaging with diverse communities and a strong understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
