About the Role

As a Social Worker with Essex County Council, you will play a vital role in supporting adults and their families who have complex social needs and are more vulnerable as a result of disability, exclusion, or diminished capacity.

You will work to maximise their potential to live independently, providing expert guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.

The West Essex area is a unique and dynamic region, bordering London boroughs, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire, with close links to NHS partners in the area.

This offers the opportunity for you to be involved in initiatives that run across authorities and organisations, making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified social worker with a current Social Work England registration, bringing at least 1 year's social work experience, evidence of continuing professional development, and capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards.

You will have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance, as well as experience of chairing meetings involving clients, family members, carers, and other multi-agency professionals.
