Position Overview:

We are excited to welcome a dedicated Support Assistant to our inclusive educational environment, focused on nurturing students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role is essential in providing tailored support to students with various needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing targeted intervention strategies for students as directed by the SENCO or Year Leader.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and Year Leaders to enhance student learning.
  • Supporting students in their reintegration into classroom activities.
  • Developing and overseeing individual behavior profiles to set personalized behavior goals.
  • Tracking progress against established targets and maintaining communication with educators.
  • Conducting debrief sessions with students following challenging incidents.
