YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a Financial Insights Analyst to join our Finance team, specifically supporting our Water Networks division. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage in a dynamic business environment, where you will manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities while overseeing various projects aimed at optimizing performance and ensuring value for money.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering precise financial data and analytics to inform critical business decisions. Your contributions will foster a strong business partnering culture, ensuring alignment with our financial commitments. This position uniquely involves working with OPEX, IRE, and CAPEX, allowing you to play a pivotal role in maintaining budgetary compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Operations Finance team to provide analytical support and business insights to the Water Networks function.
  • Ensure operational teams receive adequate financial guidance and performance insights to facilitate essential business processes.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and periodic forecasts for designated areas, contributing to multi-year planning and annual budget evaluations.
  • Implement controls to mitigate risks associated with transaction recording and reporting inaccuracies.
  • Establish a performance framework that focuses on the right metrics to achieve desired business outcomes.

WHAT YOU BRING

To qualify for this role, you should possess:

  • A financial qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
  • Extensive experience in Finance, particularly within business operations.
  • A proven track record of identifying business challenges and implementing performance enhancements.
  • Experience in developing performance frameworks to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Additionally, you should be adept at articulating insights and making recommendations that empower leadership teams to make informed strategic and operational decisions. Building strong, credible relationships across the organization is essential, as is the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
