About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior MRI Diagnostic Radiographer to join our team at GenesisCare UK. As a key member of our radiography department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our cancer care centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Follow all duties as a health and care professions council (HCPC) registrant, adhering to standards of conduct, performance, and ethics.
  • Support the Lead Radiographer in clinical and non-clinical aspects of the MRI process, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, carers, clinicians, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the growth and progress of MRI/cross-sectional imaging, staying up-to-date with current trends and developments.
  • Lead by example, taking an active clinical role in all areas of the patient pathway.
  • Proactively maintain own continuing professional development (CPD) in accordance with GenesisCare and HCPC professional standards.
  • Ensure flexibility in out-of-hours working to resolve breakdowns or crises with minimal impact on service and treatments.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience with progressive development in that time.
  • Experience in all aspects of MRI scanning to a very high level of competence.
  • Evidence of empathetic and holistic approach to patient care.
  • Good understanding of complaints process and governance.
  • Experience of proactively evolving MRI techniques.
  • A wide range of clinical skills.
  • Evidence of collaborative working and effective organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Able to make judgments/decisions with the support of the Lead Radiographer, ability to solve problems.
  • Able to work flexibly to achieve GenesisCare business objectives.
