Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Fife Council. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in promoting children's learning, development, and welfare within a nursery context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and inclusive nursery environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions and support.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in early years education.

Qualification and Registration Requirements

You must hold a relevant practitioner-level qualification, such as HNC Childhood Practice or SVQ Level 3 Social Services, and be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) at practitioner level.

Additional Requirements

You will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and complete the required post-registration training and learning (PRTL) over the registration period.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

You should have a working knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence and child development from birth to 5 years. High levels of interpersonal skills and abilities are essential to work effectively as a member of a team to ensure positive outcomes for all children.
