Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Expert to join our team at Zonegreen Ltd, a leading provider of depot safety equipment for the rail industry.


As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our current and future depot safety products, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the full delivery and launch of a unique product range, ensuring seamless integration with our existing depot safety equipment.
  • Own software development from design to launch, collaborating closely with our project engineering team to ensure products meet customer needs.
  • Tackle complex problems to maintain constant quality of results, designing, coding, and testing new products while improving existing ones.
  • Maintain and modify existing products, including fault finding and level 3 support, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist in the commissioning of company products, ensuring smooth deployment and integration with customer systems.
  • Produce support documentation, such as software architecture documents, specifications, test results, and operating manuals, to facilitate easy use and maintenance of our products.
  • Perform unit and system testing, ensuring our products meet the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, collaborating with colleagues to improve code quality and maintain best practices.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for yourself and others.


Qualification requirements:


  • Preferably educated to degree level in a relevant field, such as computer science or software engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in C++ and Git.
  • Embedded experience, C experience, web development experience, PLC experience, Neuron C/Lonworks experience, and Linux experience are all desirable.
