Job Overview

Zonegreen Ltd is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in developing and maintaining our market-leading depot safety equipment for the rail industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the full delivery and launch of our unique product range, owning software development from design to launch, and collaborating with the project engineering team to ensure products meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software for depot safety products, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the project engineering team to design, code, and test new products, and improve existing ones.
  • Conduct unit and system testing, and participate in code reviews to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Produce support documentation, such as software architecture documents, specifications, test results, and operating manuals.
  • Assist in the commissioning of company products, and ensure all work is carried out safely for yourself and others.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Preferably educated to degree level in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, with strong C++ skills and Git experience.
  • Desirable skills include embedded experience, C experience, web development, PLC experience, Neuron C/Lonworks experience, and Linux experience.
